Hello! I'm Elaine, the founder of Cat Teacher Academy and the person behind our adorable and
wonderful teacher, Cat Teacher. Through classroom teaching and math specialist services working
with families and educators, I've spent the past 20 years helping students with learning differences
discover success and confidence in math.
My work specializes in supporting students with ADHD, dyscalculia, auditory and language
processing challenges, working memory weaknesses, and other learning differences that can make math feel overwhelming. Over the years, I've guided countless students toward becoming high school and Algebra 1 ready, helping them build the endurance, skills, and confidence needed to thrive in more advanced math.
What makes my approach unique is that I don't just teach math-I help students develop their own
tools and strategies so they can truly understand numbers and patterns. I focus on building strong|
number sense, showing students how math connects to the real world, and empowering them to
solve problems with confidence and independence.
My greatest joy is watching students who once doubted themselves grow into learners who
approach math with curiosity, resilience, and self-belief. At Cat Teacher Academy, every student's
journey is valued, and every step forward is celebrated.
